Man wanted for 22 years in prison apprehended at shopping mall
The Provincial Police Department’s Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate Financial Crimes Bureau recently made a significant arrest. They were able to apprehend M.Ç.P., who was wanted with a final sentence of 22 years and 8 months imprisonment for crimes including ‘plunder with a gun’, ‘qualified fraud’, and ‘escape of convicts and detainees’.
After launching an investigation to capture M.Ç.P., the police were able to locate him in a shopping mall. Upon realizing that the authorities were closing in, the escaped convict attempted to flee. Security camera footage captured the dramatic moments as the convict ran from the police. However, after a short pursuit, the police were able to apprehend him and take him to the police station.
Following the necessary procedures at the station, M.Ç.P. was officially taken into custody and then transferred to prison to serve his sentence. This successful operation by the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate highlights the dedication and effectiveness of law enforcement in pursuing and apprehending criminal offenders.
