Manchester Reception Honors President Tatar
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus recently visited Manchester where he met with Turkish Cypriots and members of other Muslim communities at a reception. The event was attended by various representatives, including Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Manchester Onur Sayın, TRNC Representative in London Çimen Keskin, Consul General of Pakistan in Manchester Muhammad Tariq Wazir, mayors, and other officials.
The reception, organized by Turkish Cypriot businessman Ziya Emir, was a gathering to honor President Tatar and show appreciation for his continuous support of the community. Businessman Mehmet Nezir Korkut also expressed gratitude for Tatar’s visit and the opportunity to meet with him.
During the event, President Tatar emphasized the importance of unity among Muslim communities and the ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Turkey and Northern Cyprus. He also discussed the developments in various sectors in Northern Cyprus and reiterated the need for a two-state solution.
President Tatar highlighted the progress made by the TRNC in tourism, education, and infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and respect among all parties involved. He extended an invitation for collaboration to the Greek Cypriot administration and expressed optimism for a just and sustainable agreement in Cyprus.
Ending his visit to Manchester on a positive note, President Tatar commended the youth for their development and entrepreneurship. He pledged to continue working towards the progress and future of the TRNC, with the support of Turkish Cypriots living abroad. Tatar also mentioned his upcoming plans to collaborate with various segments of society to ensure a prosperous future for the TRNC.
