Márton Fucsovics Regains Top 100 Ranking in Tennis
Two Hungarian Tennis Players in the Top 100 World Ranking
In the first 2025 world ranking for men’s tennis, two Hungarian players have made it into the top 100. Fábián Marozsán is ranked 57th, while Márton Fucsovics holds the 100th spot. On the women’s side, Anna Bondár has achieved 97th place in the ranking.
Fábián Marozsán recently claimed the Hungarian championship title and showcased his skills in the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong tournament. He defeated defending champion Andrei Rublyov of Russia, among others, which resulted in an improvement of his ATP ranking by one place. Meanwhile, Márton Fucsovics has advanced four places to re-enter the top 100 ranks. The current leader in the men’s ATP ranking remains Italian Jannik Sinner, followed by Germany’s Alexander Zverev and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.
In the women’s WTA ranking, Anna Bondár stands out as the best Hungarian player at 97th place. On the court, Fucsovics has progressed to the second round of qualifying at the Australian Open, despite facing challenges in earlier challenger events. His recent victory over Spain’s Oriol Roca Batalla has set him up to compete against Henrique Rocha from Portugal in the next round.
In the women’s singles, Hungarian player Dalma Gálfi faced Oksana Selehmetyeva in a tough battle at the Australian Open. Although Gálfi fought hard, Selehmetyeva emerged victorious in a close match. Another Hungarian qualifier, Panna Udvardy, also secured a win in the first round of the Australian Open.
