Massive Military Base to be Relocated from China, 10 Times Larger than Pentagon
China is currently in the process of building a large military complex in Beijing, as reported by the Financial Times. According to US officials, this complex is located in the western part of Beijing and is intended to serve as a wartime command center that will be larger than the Pentagon.
Satellite images analyzed by US intelligence reveal a sprawling area of 1,500 acres (607 hectares) near the capital city. It is believed that this area is being designed with reinforced shelters to accommodate Chinese military leaders during times of conflict, particularly in the event of a nuclear war.
The US intelligence officials suggest that this new military complex has the potential to become the world’s largest military command center, surpassing the Pentagon by tenfold. Construction on the center began in mid-2024, as part of a broader modernization plan aimed at bolstering China’s nuclear capabilities, developing new weapons, and enhancing coordination across all military domains including land, air, sea, space, cyber, and electronic warfare.
This strategic move by China signifies a significant step in their efforts to strengthen their military capabilities and readiness.
