Forest Fire in Koyuncu District Quickly Extinguished
A fire broke out at the back of Koyuncu District, at the bottom of Güzeloluk Street, near the forest area. The incident was reported by citizens who saw black smoke coming from the district center, alerting authorities of a forest fire. Responding swiftly, the Forest Management Directorate dispatched three water trucks, forest workers, and a fire brigade to the scene.
The teams arrived at the area promptly and noticed that the flames originated from the burning of plastic waste and rubble near the forest. They immediately intervened and successfully extinguished the fire in a short period of time. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.
In a precautionary measure, the teams are currently carrying out cooling work in the region to ensure that the fire does not reignite.
