Mayor of Beykoz Alaattin Köseler Faces Arrest Request

The investigation into alleged crimes of “mixing the tender” and “committing a crime in order to commit an organization, membership, and assistance” has resulted in 22 suspects being involved, including Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler. Out of the 22 suspects, 18 have been referred to the judiciary following the completion of the prosecutor’s statements.
The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office of Beykoz is conducting the investigation, and procedures are continuing at the Beykoz Courthouse. Arrest warrants have been issued for 18 suspects, including Köseler, while judicial control is being requested for the remaining 4 suspects.
The investigation, which includes allegations of “tender mischief” and establishing an organization, membership, and assistance, has led to arrests, detentions, searches, and seizures. Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch Directorate teams detained Köseler and 20 other suspects on February 27. The suspects were taken to the Istanbul Police Department for questioning.
In the early morning hours, police surrounded the Beykoz Municipality building and conducted search and seizure operations, gathering documents as evidence. The number of suspects increased to 22 with the detention of one additional person yesterday. After completing health checks, the suspects were brought to court for further proceedings.
