
Mehmetçik’s Precision Strikes in ‘Fire Free’

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) recently showcased its firepower in the “Free Fire-2024” activity, where various weapon systems including the new generation Fırtına howitzer, F-16 fighter jets, ATAK helicopters, and missiles like Cirit, UMTAS, and OMTAS were used to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy. The activity, which was attended by 995 personnel and monitored by Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, demonstrated the effectiveness of Turkish military equipment and aimed to enhance the coordination of fire support between different units.
During the event, domestically produced national infantry rifles and sniper teams also showcased their capabilities, hitting targets accurately from distances of 600 meters and one kilometer. The demonstration of firepower included machine gun shots, anti-aircraft systems, armored combat vehicles, tanks, and artillery units firing at designated targets.
Furthermore, the activity featured the firing of new generation Fırtına howitzers, followed by the deployment of ATAK attack helicopters equipped with advanced missiles. The event culminated with F-16 warplanes and AKINCI TİHA drones hitting targets with precision, showcasing the diverse capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces.
The “Free Fire-2024” activity was a testament to the strength and readiness of the Turkish military, with various weapons and systems making their debut. The exhibition was attended by military personnel, officers, and non-commissioned officer trainees, highlighting the importance of firepower and coordination in modern warfare.
