Metehan Roundabout to Ortaköy Road Closed Until July 25th
The Highways Department has announced the closure of the route from Metehan roundabout to Ortaköy for road construction works. The closure will be in effect from today until July 25, according to a statement released by the department.
During this period, only the Ortaköy side of the road between the Metehan Circle and the Ortaköy area (Civil Defense Circle) in Lefkoşa will be closed to traffic. The road closure is part of the road and infrastructure development works of the Presidency and Parliament Campus.
Drivers are advised to use alternative routes via Kemal Şemiler Street as there will be no access to the Ortaköy region from Kemal Şemiler Street (Kalın Yol) and the Metehan Border Gate until July 25.
In the statement, drivers using this route are reminded to drive carefully, obey traffic signs and signals, and ensure the safety of life and property. Please plan your travel accordingly and follow the instructions provided by the authorities during this temporary closure.
