UBP Secretary General Criticizes ‘Diagnosis These’ Campaign by People’s Party
In a recent interview on BRT’s 18th Hour program, UBP Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu expressed serious concerns regarding the People’s Party’s use of police visuals in their campaign titled "Diagnosis These." Hasipoglu announced that members of his committee plan to file a complaint with the police over what they deem a violation of personality rights.
Hasipoglu stated, “This approach is unacceptable. We should be recognized through respectable means, not through billboards that misrepresent our committee.” He emphasized that the committee investigating alleged fake diplomas is committed to transparency and accountability. “We face criticism head-on and welcome discussion. However, it’s essential that these debates occur within a legal framework and using appropriate platforms,” he added.
The Secretary General further criticized the People’s Party for prematurely declaring individuals guilty while the committee discussions are ongoing. “We will indeed pursue legal action,” he affirmed, underscoring the need for respectful discourse and criticism in political matters.
The discussion is expected to gain traction at the upcoming General Assembly meeting, where Hasipoglu hopes for participation from key opposition figures, including Mr. Özersay.
In a call for civility and legality in political dialogue, Hasipoglu’s comments spotlight the ongoing tensions in the political landscape and the importance of proper channels for addressing grievances.
