Metrobus Goes Out of Control in Istanbul, Causes Traffic Chaos
A metrobus in Istanbul went out of control at Zincirlikuyu stop for reasons unknown, crossing barriers and entering the busy D-100 highway. The incident resulted in the metrobus hitting four cars on the highway before coming to a stop.
The impact of the collision caused a traffic jam in the direction of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge as the vehicles involved in the accident blocked the highway. Police teams were quickly dispatched to the area to ensure safety and manage the situation.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries reported as a result of the accident, although the vehicles involved sustained damage. Once the vehicles were cleared from the highway and the road was opened, traffic flow in the region returned to normal.
