
Mevlana Judo Camp: International Training in Konya

The Mevlana International Judo Training Camp is currently underway at the Konya Sports and Congress Center, with the Turkish Judo Federation President Sezer Huysuz attending. According to Huysuz, not only are national and international organizations held in Konya, but approximately 350 athletes are also attending the camp, making it a great working environment.
Additionally, Huysuz praised Konya for providing great services to Turkish judo and producing great athletes, such as national athlete Sinem Oruç, who recently won the gold medal at the Cadets European Judo Championship. The camp, which will last for 5 days, is expected to make a significant contribution to Turkish judo and European countries.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Judo coach Şeyda Aydoğan also expressed satisfaction with the camp’s efficiency, stating that it is crucial for the upcoming Cadet Turkish Championship, Junior Turkish Championship, and subsequent European and World Championships. The camp, which began with the participation of approximately 350 athletes, will conclude on January 3.
This international judo training camp in Konya is not only a testament to the city’s growing reputation in the world of sports but also underscores the impact of the country’s infrastructure development on the international community.
