Mexico’s “Plan B” to Counter US Tax Decision

Mexican President Responds to Trump’s Comments on Drug Trafficking
Mexico’s President X has responded to US President Donald Trump’s recent statements regarding drug trafficking and criminal organizations. In a social media post, X emphasized the importance of acting with reason and law, rather than compulsion, in addressing these issues. He criticized Trump for suggesting intervention in Mexican lands and highlighted the need for cooperation between neighboring countries.
X also called out the US government for its role in supplying high-powered weapons to criminal groups, which has contributed to the drug trafficking problem. He suggested that the US address the root causes of drug consumption, such as the illegal sale of drugs on the streets of major cities and money laundering activities.
The Mexican President emphasized the importance of mutual trust, cooperation, and respect for sovereignty in addressing drug trafficking issues. He proposed setting up a joint task force with security and public health experts to tackle the problem comprehensively.
In a statement, X reiterated Mexico’s commitment to dialogue with the US but made it clear that the country would not bow down to pressure. He emphasized the unity between the government and the people of Mexico in facing challenges and highlighted the strength that this unity provides.
The US administration recently announced additional customs duties on imports from Mexico and other countries, as part of its efforts to combat drug trafficking. However, X’s response underscores the importance of a cooperative and respectful approach in addressing the root causes of the issue.
