Pence, who served under former President Donald Trump, will be seeking to rival his ex-boss for the nomination. Despite his popularity, current polls reveal that 56 percent of Republicans support Trump, while Pence’s support stands at just 5 percent. Other Republican candidates include Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis, while for the Democrats, President Joe Biden, RFK’s nephew Robert F Kennedy Jr, and writer Marianne Williamson have already announced their candidacy.
