Mike Sharavjamts Commits to Play for Utah Team
The University of Utah Adds Mongolian Guard Mike Sharavjamts to Basketball Roster
The University of Utah has bolstered its basketball roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season by signing 21-year-old Mongolian guard Mike Sharavjamts. Hailing from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Sharavjamts joins Finnish player Miro Little as the second foreign player on the team.
Sharavjamts comes to Utah from the University of San Francisco, where he played during his sophomore year. In the previous season, he showcased his skills by averaging 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in 33 appearances. His contributions helped his team advance to the WCC Tournament Semifinals in 2024.
Prior to his time at San Francisco, Sharavjamts played at the University of Dayton in 2022-23. He was instrumental in leading his team to a strong finish in the Atlantic 10 conference, culminating in an appearance in the conference tournament finals. His standout performance earned him a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team that year.
During his prep year at Prolific Prep Academy in Napa Valley, California, Sharavjamts continued to impress with his skills on the court. His team achieved success in the Pac-12 conference, finishing in second place. In 2022, he was selected to represent the World Team at the prestigious Nike Hoop Summit.
Sharavjamts also has experience on the international stage, having competed as a member of the Mongolian University National Team. His accomplishments include being named to the Mongolian 3×3 U18 Team in 2019, showcasing his versatility and talent on the court.
With Sharavjamts now a part of the University of Utah basketball program, fans can look forward to seeing his impact on the court as he continues to hone his skills and contribute to the team’s success.
