Military radios transformed into live broadcast tools
The Efes-2024 Combined, Joint Computer Aided Command Post and Actual Firing Field Exercise showcased some incredible live images that were observed by the Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler. These images were sent over ASELSAN radios worn on the chests of landing soldiers during the exercise.
On May 23, footage of the underwater attack team personnel on the Atak 5 assault boat was captured as they jumped into the sea to carry out mine search and destruction activities. This footage was transmitted live to the viewing point via ASELSAN radios, showcasing the successful use of Broad Band Waveform Frequency Hopping mode.
During the morning part of the exercise, live images of residential area combat conducted by the Amphibious Marine Infantry Elements were broadcasted to the viewing area. These soldiers participated in a landing activity on the beach from the TCG Anatolian Ship with ZAHAs, and the images were successfully transferred using Broadband Waveform Frequency Hopping mode.
The operation was closely followed by the Minister of National Defense with the help of live video transmissions on screens in the viewing area. The exercise demonstrated the advanced capabilities and technology utilized by the military in training scenarios like Efes-2024.
