Millions of Lira Transfers Investigated in Dilan Polat Engin Polat Case
5 People Referred to Judicial Authorities in Connection with Dilan Polat and Engin Polat Investigation
In a recent operation carried out by the police in Ankara, 5 individuals were detained in connection with the ongoing investigation into Dilan Polat and Engin Polat. The operation took place simultaneously in 5 different addresses in Ankara, with the individuals being referred to judicial authorities after their procedures.
Two of the detainees, Uğur A. and Mustafa Ö., were sent to the courthouse, while İsmail B., Gözde B., and Kübra D.Ö. were arrested. All individuals have been subjected to judicial control and a travel ban abroad.
The luxury vehicles seized in the operations against Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat were towed to a trustee car park in Zeytinburnu. It was noted that the vehicles were parked side by side and adjacent to each other.
The investigation into the couple, initiated by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, pertains to the crimes of “Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime, Violation of the Tax Procedure Law, and the Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions.”
In addition to the 5 individuals detained in Ankara, a total of 12 suspects, including the couple, were arrested and sent from the Marmara Closed Penal Institution.
Furthermore, 14 vehicles belonging to the Polat couple were put on display at the Vatan Campus of the Istanbul Police Department. While Dilan and Engin Polat were arrested and sent to prison, their luxury vehicles were transported to the trustee car park in Zeytinburnu.
