Minibus Accident in Turkey Leaves Several Injured

A minibus accident occurred in the early hours of the morning near Obruk Hill on the Saimbeyli-Tufanbeyli Highway in Turkey. The driver, Musa Kodal, lost control of the vehicle, which had license plate number 06 AC 2127, for an unknown reason and veered off the road, crashing into a stockade. The accident happened at around midnight.

Upon notification of the accident by passersby, health and gendarmerie teams rushed to the scene, where they found Kodal and his six passengers injured. All of them were taken to Saimbeyli State Hospital for immediate medical attention before being transferred to the Adana City Hospital. Kodal was seriously injured and had to be taken to the state hospital first before being transferred to Adana City Hospital.

The passengers who were also hurt in the crash were Cihat Bekmez (29), Murat Işık (30), Süleyman Kaya (28), Rubeyn Öksüz (26), Mecit Kara (26), and Fırat Altun (28).

An investigation into the cause of the accident was launched by the gendarmerie. The authorities have not yet disclosed any further information about the incident.

Traffic accidents are a common occurrence in Turkey. The government has stepped up measures to reduce the number of such incidents, but more needs to be done to ensure the safety of all road users.
