Minister BAK: No Issues in Student Dormitories
Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak visited the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency in the aftermath of the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the Marmara Sea Silivri. The Minister was joined by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Minister Murat Kurum, and Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu for an evaluation meeting with the press.
Minister Bak expressed his well wishes to the people of Istanbul affected by the earthquake and shared that he was in Istanbul during the seismic event. He reassured that there were no issues in the dormitories of students, as checks had been conducted and students were safe and well taken care of.
Furthermore, Minister Bak highlighted that all sports facilities were open and available for public use. He emphasized that the halls and open spaces were ready to serve citizens in need of assistance.
The government officials are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of those affected by the earthquake, and Minister Osman Aşkın Bak’s visit to the disaster management center reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the community during challenging times.
