
Minister Bak sends condolences for passing of former national football player Ersen Martin

Former Turkish football player Ersen Martin passed away at the age of 44 after battling with a ruptured aorta and illness for a long time. Born in Germany in 1979, Martin began his football career in Nuremberg and went on to play for various clubs in Turkey, including Beşiktaş, Siirtspor, and Trabzonspor. He also had a brief stint with Spain’s Recreativo Huelva team and represented the National Team four times.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Bak, expressed his condolences on social media, remembering Martin as a popular figure in Turkish football. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) also released a statement mourning the loss of Martin, highlighting his contributions to the sport and expressing sympathy towards his family and the sports community.
