Minister Bolat Attends Turkish States Competition Council Meeting
The Turkish States Competition Council Meeting was held in Beşiktaş with the participation of various high-level officials. Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Merey Mukazhan, Competition Authority President Birol Küle, and representatives from the member countries of the council were all in attendance.
During the opening speech, Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat highlighted the importance of the Organization of Turkish States and its efforts to strengthen and increase solidarity. He emphasized the significance of institutionalization and the establishment of a council for competition authorities. Minister Bolat also mentioned the decisions made during the leaders’ gathering in Astana, which includes important decisions such as the establishment of an investment fund.
The minister pointed out the potential for economic and commercial cooperation within the Organization of Turkish States, citing the significant increase in trade between member countries in recent years. He highlighted the goal of increasing the trade rate to 10 percent and emphasized the duty to activate mechanisms to achieve this.
Minister Bolat also stressed the importance of mutual investments and economic integration among member countries, emphasizing the need to encourage and protect agreements for mutual investments.
He concluded by emphasizing the significance of joint studies, visits, workshops, and training activities to strengthen common history and language heritage among council members and to address competition law problems.
