Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan Holds Meeting with Belgian Counterpart
Ankara – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan recently met with Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade and Federal Cultural Institutions Bernard Quintin in Ankara. The two officials held discussions on various topics of mutual interest and cooperation.
Following their meeting, Minister Fidan and Minister Quintin held a joint press conference to address the media. During the conference, Minister Fidan emphasized Turkey’s commitment to protecting any group, whether majority or minority, that feels in trouble in the new period in Syria. He stated, “If there is any majority or minority that feels in trouble in the new period (in Syria), Turkey is their protector, no matter who they are.”
The meeting between Minister Fidan and Minister Quintin highlights the importance of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Belgium as they work together to address regional and global challenges.Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields for the benefit of their citizens and the international community.
