Minister Fidan Sustains Intense Diplomatic Engagements
Hakan Fidan Holds Multiple Talks with Foreign Counterparts on Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
According to information obtained from diplomatic sources, Turkey’s intelligence chief, Hakan Fidan, has been engaging in a series of discussions with various foreign counterparts pertaining to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Minister Fidan, on October 7, held conversations with several notable figures including Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al Thani, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shukri, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Emir Abdullahian, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Continuing his efforts, on October 8, Fidan had a telephone conversation with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safedi, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and once again with US Secretary of State Blinken.
Minister Fidan further discussed the matter with British Foreign Minister James Cleverly on October 9, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on October 10, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on October 11, and UAE Foreign Minister Al Nahyan on October 13 through phone calls.
Significantly, Fidan also engaged in discussions regarding the developments in Israel-Palestine with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Malaysian Foreign Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lökke Rasmussen, and US Secretary of State Blinken over the phone.
Additionally, apart from the telephone conversations, Minister Fidan also held a face-to-face meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shukri on October 14.
These extensive talks signify Turkey’s active efforts to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and seek potential resolutions through diplomatic channels.
