Minister of Labor and Social Security Visits SOS Children’s Village
Minister of Labor and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, recently paid a visit to SOS Children’s Village along with Ministry Undersecretary Serkan İlseven and Social Services Department Director Alev Ecevit. During his visit, Minister Gardiyanoğlu praised the important mission of SOS Children’s Village in taking a significant burden off the state.
The Minister also provided insights into the improvement works being carried out in centers affiliated with the Ministry and highlighted that 2024 will be a year of breakthrough for these initiatives.
During the visit, Buğra Akter, Chairman of the Board of SOS Children’s Village Association, presented information about ongoing studies and projects and sought support from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Subsequently, Minister Gardiyanoğlu and the ministry bureaucrats visited the SOS Children’s Village, where they received detailed information about its operations.
The visit underscored the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and SOS Children’s Village in addressing the needs of children and youth in need of care and protection. The visit also emphasized the commitment of the Ministry to support and uplift such initiatives for the betterment of society.
