
Minister Göktaş Engages with Generations in Germany

Turkish Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş recently made a visit to an elderly care center in Berlin, where Turkish citizens are served. Göktaş greeted the elderly residents of the center with applause and shared holiday wishes with them. During the visit, he engaged in conversations with the elderly, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his happiness about the greetings and interactions between Minister Göktaş and the elderly residents. Minister Göktaş also met with Turkish youth living in Germany at the Kançılaria Building of the Embassy of Berlin. During this meeting, he encouraged young people to be proud of their Turkish heritage and to contribute to the development of Turkey.
Minister Göktaş further participated in the “Global Disability Summit” in Berlin, where he emphasized the importance of accessibility for disabled individuals. He highlighted the efforts of Turkey in improving accessibility and supporting the rights of disabled individuals. Minister Göktaş stated that accessibility is a human right and that Turkey is committed to promoting inclusive policies and international cooperation in the field of disability.
In his address at the summit, Minister Göktaş underscored the significance of providing resources and support for disabled individuals, both domestically and internationally. He also mentioned Turkey’s initiative to establish a specialized agency within the UN for disability issues, aiming to strengthen global efforts towards accessibility and inclusivity.
