Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler visits Kosovo
Minister Yaşar Güler recently arrived at Adem Jashari Airport in the capital city of Pristina, where he was warmly welcomed by Pristina Ambassador Tunç Angılı, Major General İrfete Spahiu from the Kosovo Ministry of Defense, NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR) Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş, Pristina Military Attaché Colonel Çağatay Akif Kahraman, and other high-ranking officials.
After the official reception at the airport, Minister Yaşar Güler proceeded to visit the Sultan Murat Barracks, where he met with the Kosovo Turkish Representative Delegation.
During his visit, Güler took part in a tree-planting ceremony in the garden of Sultan Murat Barracks as a symbolic gesture of remembrance. Following this, he held a meeting and received a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing activities of the Kosovo Turkish Representation Committee.
The visit aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Turkey and Kosovo, particularly in the defense sector. It also emphasizes Turkey’s commitment to supporting the Kosovo Turkish community and ensuring their representation in key decision-making processes.
