
Minister Kacır Announces Plans to Establish Industrial and Technology Colleges in Anatolian Cities

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır recently attended the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the detached industrialists and businessmen Association (MUSIAD). During the meeting, Minister Kacır highlighted the government’s efforts to boost the industrial sector, stating that they have increased the number of people employed in the industry from 3.9 million to 6.7 million. He also emphasized the importance of accelerating advanced technology investments in the sector to drive growth and innovation.
One of the key initiatives announced by Minister Kacır is the establishment of ‘Industry and Technology College’ in Anatolian cities. This move aims to provide high-quality education that combines the strengths of vocational high schools and science high schools to prepare qualified human resources for the industry. The Minister also outlined other strategic investments in defense, automotive, health technologies, renewable energy, and nuclear energy to strengthen Türkiye’s industrial capabilities.
In his address, Minister Kacır also touched upon the global challenges faced by young people advocating for justice and the impact of globalization on the economy. He underscored Türkiye’s position as a country that can raise its voice both on the field and at the table, highlighting the nation’s increasing production capabilities and self-reliance in the defense industry.
Following the general assembly, Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır was honored with a gift, and plaques were presented to MUSIAD Board Members. The outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Young MUSIAD passed on his duties to the newly elected President, signaling a new chapter for the organization.
