
Minister Kurum’s Housing Delivery: 155 Thousand Homes Delivered

Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, recently attended the 70th Anniversary Gala Program of the Chamber of Civil Engineers Konya Branch. The event, which took place at the Selçuklu Congress Center, was attended by various distinguished guests including Governor İbrahim Akın, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, and Chamber of Civil Engineers Konya Branch President Hasan Özgür Yetiştirici.
During the program, Minister Kurum presented plaques to the oldest members of the chamber, highlighting their contributions to the field of civil engineering. In his speech, Minister Kurum also provided updates on the government’s efforts to provide housing for those affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and fires. He proudly announced that they have successfully delivered 155 thousand houses so far, with plans to hand over the keys to the 200 thousandth house in just 10 days.
Minister Kurum emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that every earthquake victim in the 11 provinces affected will have a place to call home. He expressed his gratitude to the engineers and professionals who have worked tirelessly to make this possible, stating that the effort to rebuild and provide housing continues at a rapid pace.
