Minister of Finance Şan calls for collective responsibility to empower individuals with disabilities.
Finance Minister Alişan Şan highlights the importance of ensuring a future of confidence for people with disabilities in Turkey, stating that it is the common duty and responsibility of all individuals to ensure that disabled citizens can participate in all aspects of life without hindrance. In his message on the occasion of the ’10-16 May Disability Week’, Şan emphasized that providing equality of opportunity in health, education, employment, access and accessibility can enable individuals with disabilities or special needs to demonstrate their skills and abilities in all areas of life. He also reminded everyone that disability can affect anyone and called for efforts to raise the living standards of disabled citizens and promote their productivity. Finally, Şan expressed his hope that Disability Week will strengthen social awareness about the importance of inclusivity and love in overcoming obstacles.
