Minister of Justice Tunç: Unanimous Agreement on Constitutional Changes
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç visited Trabzon and held important discussions during his visit. He first visited the Rectorate of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) and was briefed about the studies at the university by Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı. Minister Tunç also met with students at the ‘Youth Meeting’ program at the Osman Turan Congress Center in Trabzon.
During his address, Minister Tunç emphasized the importance of the fight against terrorism and expressed his condolences to the families of the citizens who were martyred in a recent terrorist attack. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and its networks in unity and solidarity with the nation.
Additionally, Minister Tunç highlighted the need for a new constitution in Turkey, stating that everyone agrees on the necessity of changing the current constitution, which was written by coup plotters in the aftermath of the September 12 coup. He stressed the importance of creating a new democratic constitution that prioritizes fundamental rights and freedoms, and pledged to work towards fulfilling this debt to the nation.
