Minister Tunç Opens Investigation into YKS Allegations
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç has taken a strong stance against false claims and misleading information regarding the leakage of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) questions. In a statement issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was announced that an ex officio investigation has been launched for the crime of ‘Publicly Disseminating Misleading Information’.
Minister Tunç emphasized the importance of maintaining the peace of the candidates who have worked hard to prepare for the exam and their families. He stated that spreading untrue information on social media with the aim of disrupting the candidates’ mental state is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
The Minister urged all candidates who took the exam to remain calm and focused on their goals, assuring them that the investigation is being conducted meticulously. He also expressed his best wishes for the candidates to achieve their dream jobs and continue their education at the university of their choice.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the 2024 YKS basic question booklets and answer keys have been released, bringing relief to the millions of anxious candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the results. This important step will help candidates assess their performance and plan their next steps accordingly.
