Minister Uraloğlu Sends Condolence Message to PTT Employees
Minister Uraloğlu expressed his sorrow upon learning about the tragic incident where two employees lost their lives in an attack on PTT employees in Rize. In a post on his social media account, he extended his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
“I wish God’s mercy to our valuable employees who lost their lives in this treacherous attack, and my condolences to their grieving families and relatives. We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice. My thoughts and prayers are with the PTT community and our nation during this difficult time,” Minister Uraloğlu stated.
In a separate statement released by PTT AŞ on social media, the company vowed to closely follow up on the investigation into the attack. They also expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and the entire PTT community.
The Rize Governorship also issued a statement regarding the incident, explaining that the attack occurred during an argument between a person demanding illegal action and the PTT staff. The identity of the attacker has been determined, and the authorities are working to apprehend the individual.
Our hearts go out to the families and colleagues of the victims, Selim Okumuş and Ömer Bayazit, who tragically lost their lives in this senseless act of violence. We hope that justice will be served, and that such incidents will be prevented in the future.
