Minister Varank Participates in Hıdırellez Fire Jumping Tradition
AK Party Bursa 2nd regional deputy candidate and Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank attended various events in Bursa as part of his election campaign. During his visit to the Bursa 20th Book Fair at the TÜYAP Bursa International Fair and Congress Center, Varank met with the officers of the companies that opened their stands and presented a magazine to children at the TÜBİTAK stand. He also attended the Hıdırellez event organized by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in Mihraplı Park, where he jumped over the fire and lit the Hıdırellez fire with AK Party Bursa Provincial President Davut Gürkan.
In his speech, Varank praised Bursa for its civilization values, culture, history, and gastronomy, and noted the need for cooperation to further develop the city’s brand value. Varank also discussed Togg, a brand based in Bursa, and expressed his hope for the rise of the city to an exemplary position not only in Turkey but also in Europe.
After his speech, Varank broke the Hıdırellez egg with Bursa Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Gökhan Dinçer and AK Party Provincial President Davut Gürkan and read a mani drawn from the bag for abundance. Varank also spent time chatting with citizens during his visit to the park.
