Minister Yumaklı’s Get Well Soon Call for Manisa Fire Victims
Manisa Governor Enver Ünlü recently visited the areas affected by a fire that broke out in Salihli’s Dibekdağı location, causing damage to approximately 300 hectares of land. The fire, which started around 11:30 yesterday and was brought under control by 01:30 at night, resulted in the complete destruction of 4 houses, 2 sheepfolds, 1 motorcycle, and various work machines in Salihli’s Yağbasan and Karasavcı neighborhoods. Unfortunately, one cattle perished, and agricultural lands in the area were severely damaged.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı expressed his concern for the affected residents and assured them of government support. Governor Ünlü, after assessing the situation in both neighborhoods, emphasized the importance of evacuating citizens for their safety. He also acknowledged the swift response from emergency personnel and volunteers in extinguishing the fire to prevent further casualties.
Furthermore, Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality pledged to assist in the restoration efforts for the damaged areas. He specifically mentioned plans to address the drinking water issue in Karasavcı District promptly.
Governor Ünlü, Mayor Zeyrek, and other officials conducted a thorough inspection of the burned areas, accompanied by various local authorities. Despite the significant damage caused by the fire, efforts are already underway to repair the affected properties and provide support to the impacted residents. The collaboration between government agencies and local authorities highlights the commitment to restoring normalcy in the affected communities.
