Ministry-Approved 5-Star Dormitory: Housing 200 Female and 200 Male Students
A 5-star hotel in Marmaris has been expropriated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to provide accommodation for higher education students. The hotel, with a capacity of 650 beds spread over 5,111 square meters, will be converted into a dormitory for students starting from September 1.
The hotel, consisting of 2 blocks with 155 rooms and 4,800 square meters of indoor space, offers a range of amenities including a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor dining halls, a camera and fire alarm system, fire escape, parking lot, fitness center, and easy access to public transportation. Located approximately 1 kilometer from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Marmaris Tourism Vocational School and 9 kilometers from Health Services Vocational School, the hotel is strategically positioned for students’ convenience.
AK Party Muğla Deputy Kadem Mete expressed his excitement about the initiative on social media, highlighting that the dormitory provides the comfort of a hotel for the 200 female and 200 male students who will be accommodated. He thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, and all authorities involved in making this project a reality, emphasizing that the youth deserve the best facilities for their education.
With this new dormitory offering luxurious amenities to students, the Ministry of Youth and Sports aims to enhance the educational experience for higher education students in Marmaris.
