
Ministry of Health provides transportation to over 9,000 patients during election period.

More than 9,600 patients were given transportation services during the Presidential Election and General Election of the Parliament in Turkey. The Health Minister, Fahrettin Koca, announced in a social media post that a total of 112 ambulances were used for 2,264 patients, while 3,171 patients were transported using patient transport ambulances. Patient service vehicles took 3,110 patients to the polls, and 1,125 patients traveled in other vehicles.
The Health Minister expressed his gratitude to all the patients who participated in exercising their right to vote as part of the national will. He also went on to thank the transportation service organization for their dedicated assistance throughout the elections.
Providing transportation services for patients on election days is a significant aspect of ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast their vote. This service is especially crucial for elderly or disabled patients, and those suffering from medical conditions that require assistance.
The efforts made by the Health Ministry and transportation services to provide safe and timely transportation for patients during the election is commendable. The inclusion of medical professionals and transportation organizers in the election process is another example of Turkey’s dedication to ensuring a fair and democratic voting process.
