Ministry of Internal Affairs focuses on selling goods to foreigners
The issue of selling goods to foreigners and the Zoning Plan was discussed in the Assembly of the Republic. CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman addressed the property issue and highlighted the importance of population policy. He emphasized that the current population is not sustainable and the Turkish Cypriot people are losing their share in property, which impacts sovereignty.
Furthermore, Minister of Internal Affairs Dursun Oğuz announced that measures will be taken by reaching a consensus without harming the real estate sector. He also mentioned that a law will be implemented to address the issue of non-registered land contracts.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel provided insights on the ongoing developments in the country regarding the handling of disputed constructions and unregistered contracts. He assured that efforts are being made to prevent any legal regulation from negatively impacting the country’s economy. Additionally, he mentioned the formation of a team to work on zoning plans that would cover the entire country.
