Ministry Warns of School Uniforms Containing Chemicals Being Collected
The Ministry of Commerce has issued a warning regarding a school uniform that has been found to pose a threat to children’s health. This alert was added to the Insecure Product Information System (Fertilizer) after inspections conducted by the Ministry revealed the presence of chemicals in the uniform that have serious health risks.
The chemicals detected in the uniform are said to have the potential to harm human health, according to the Insecure Product Information System (Fertilizer). The reason for the lack of security in the uniform was identified as the presence of lead (Pb) in the product, as indicated in the test report from Ekoteks Laboratory and Surveillance Services Inc.
The Insecure Product Information System (Fertilizer) serves as a platform where products identified by authorized organizations conducting market supervision and surveillance activities in the country are announced. The notifications on this platform contain information entered into the system by these authorized organizations.
Parents and guardians are advised to be cautious when purchasing school uniforms or any other products for children, and to check for any alerts issued by the Ministry of Commerce or the Insecure Product Information System (Fertilizer) to ensure the safety of their children’s health.
