
Miraculous Rescue: IETT Bus Fire Averted, Citizens Saved from Burning

An IETT bus caught fire in Ataşehir district, causing passengers to narrowly escape being burned. The incident occurred on Mor Menekşe Street in the Barbaros District around 17:00. Smoke started rising from the engine of the bus with plate number 34 TP 2892, which quickly turned into flames. The driver managed to pull the bus to the side of the road and safely evacuate all passengers.
Emergency services, including the fire brigade, police, and medical teams, responded to the scene. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames surrounding the bus in approximately 30 minutes. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the fire. However, the engine of the bus was completely destroyed.
Police took control of the traffic and initiated an investigation into the incident. Eyewitnesses, such as Muhammed Karagöz, confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated from the bus. The driver’s quick thinking and actions prevented a potentially tragic outcome.
