MIT-led Operation Neutralizes PKK’s So-Called Ammunition Manager
Zeynep Sevim, Known as “Ruken Zilan,” was a High-Ranking PKK Ammunition Manager
New information has come to light regarding Zeynep Sevim, the terrorist known as “Ruken Zilan,” who was neutralized by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT). It has been determined that she played a significant role as a so-called ammunition manager for the terrorist organization PKK.
According to reports from security sources, it has been revealed that Sevim, who was neutralized in the Duhok countryside, was responsible for coordinating the ammunition needs of the organization’s members who were planning to carry out attacks against security forces.
Sevim had joined the PKK/KCK rural staff in 2014 and was actively involved in meeting the logistical needs of the organization’s members during various actions against security forces in northern Iraq. She was particularly involved in providing ammunition for operations in Metina in 2016, Gara in 2017, Avaşin in 2019, and during the Claw-Lock operation. It has been stated that she operated as the designated ammunition manager for attacks against security forces.
Interestingly, Sevim’s sister, Fatma Sevim, who went by the codename “Zilan Ruken,” was also neutralized in an operation conducted by security forces in the Ovacık district of Tunceli in 2012.
The new information sheds light on the significance of Zeynep Sevim’s role within the PKK and highlights the ongoing efforts by security forces to neutralize high-ranking members of the terrorist organization.
