“MIT’s Point Operation in Gara: Latest Update from Turkey”
Turkish intelligence agency MIT has announced the neutralization of a prominent member of the terrorist group PKK. Neçirvan Seven, who joined the group in 2015, was a member of the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) before February of the same year. It was found that he participated in street protests in Turkey to oppose the violent clashes between the PKK/KCK-YPG/PYD and DAESH in Syria’s Aynularab region.
MIT had been monitoring Seven for his role in logistics activities after he crossed into northern Iraq. The agency then successfully carried out a point operation resulting in Neutralizing Seven in Gara, northern Iraq.
Seven’s extensive involvement in the terrorist organization shows the level of threat posed by such groups not only to Turkey but to other countries, including those in the Middle East. The PKK has been listed as a terrorist organization by NATO, the US, the EU, and many others. Turkey has been engaged in a long battle against its activities, which has led to significant clashes and civilian casualties in the region.
The elimination of Seven is a major victory for Turkey in its ongoing fight against terrorism.
