Istanbul Police Crack Down on Violations by Concrete Mixer Driver
The Istanbul Police Department has taken swift action after a video surfaced on social media showing a concrete mixer unloading its load on Küçüksu Street. Thanks to the efforts of the police teams, the driver, identified as H.K., was caught and held accountable for his actions.
H.K. has been issued fines totaling 11,794 liras for violating the “exceeding the maximum loaded weight or 15 percent more than the maximum permissible loaded weight” article of the Highway Traffic Law. Additionally, fines of 1440 liras for “loading the load in a way that it spreads on the highway”, 16,571 liras for “making a change in the registration plate in a way that ensures safety”, and 690 liras for “driving a vehicle disrespectfully” were also imposed on the driver.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of following traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of all road users. The Istanbul Police Department’s quick response demonstrates their commitment to enforcing the rules and holding those who violate them accountable.
