Modern Speeches in the Assembly of the Republic
Members of the Assembly of the Republic in North Cyprus recently discussed the economy, with CTP Famagusta deputy Teberrüken Uluçay sharing his thoughts on the recent election in Turkey and the impact of Mehmet Şimşek’s appointment on the economy. Uluçay highlighted the need for the TRNC to find solutions amidst the economic policy changes in Turkey. Minister of Labor and Social Security Hasan Taçoy also congratulated the new cabinet in Turkey and emphasized the importance of transparency and realistic monetary policies. Taçoy stated that inflation is expected to decrease in the third quarter and that the TRNC needs to take parallel steps with Turkey to avoid facing economic challenges. The discussions also included the passing of a medium-term development plan.
