The Mongolian government said that the country’s resource-rich deposits of rare earth minerals and copper make it an attractive prospect for investment and cooperation in the electric vehicle sector. Mongolia’s Oyu Tolgoi mine has recently begun production on one of the world’s largest known copper and gold deposits, with the capacity to produce over 500,000 metric tons of copper each year.
