
Mongolian Sculptors Triumph at World Snow Sculpting Championship

The World Snow Sculpting Championship recently took place in Stillwater, Minnesota, USA in January 2025, and it was a historic event. The Mongolian team, known as “Team Falcon,” emerged victorious and claimed first place with their stunning sculpture titled “Voice.” This marked the first time that a team from Mongolia has won the prestigious championship.
The talented sculptors Ts.Batmunkh, B.Govisaikhan, and A.Ikhbandi represented Mongolia and showcased their skills to the world. The competition, which ran from January 15th to 19th at Lowell Park along the picturesque St. Croix River, featured twelve teams from various countries such as Mexico, Taiwan, Finland, and the United States.
The final results of the championship were as follows: Team Falcon from Mongolia clinched the top spot with their masterpiece “Voice,” while Team JetSet from Mexico secured second place with their sculpture “Trapped.” Team Taiwan received the third place award, as well as the People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice awards, for their sculpture “Whispers in the Breeze.”
Prior to their success at the World Snow Sculpting Championship, Mongolian sculptors also made a mark at the 36th Harbin International Ice Sculpture Competition in China, held from January 2 to 4, 2025. Among a field of over 60 ice sculptors from different countries, the Mongolian team stood out and won one gold and one silver medal.
The achievements of the Mongolian sculptors in both competitions demonstrate their exceptional talent and dedication to their craft. Their innovative and breathtaking creations have left a lasting impression on the international snow and ice sculpting community.
