Moon Explorer: Sending a Rocket to Land on the Moon
The finals of TEKNOFEST’s technology competitions are in full swing, taking place in 25 different areas and being hosted at the ANFAŞ International Fair and Congress Center. The event has brought together a wealth of talented and innovative individuals, showcasing the best of Turkey’s technological abilities.
One of the highlights of the festival was a talk program featuring Turkey’s first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, who shared his insights and experiences with the young participants. Moreover, Gezeravcı elaborated on Turkey’s ambitious plans within the lunar exploration program, revealing that the country aims to send a rocket to the surface of the Moon between 2026-2028.
