TRNC Deputy Storm Karanfil Calls for Recognition of TRNC
National Unity Party (UBP) Deputy Storm Karanfil has stated that the time has come for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to be recognized, referring to statements made by officials from the Republic of Turkey during their visit to the country.
Karanfil expressed his pride in walking alongside Turkey and emphasized the importance of the TRNC as an inseparable part of its homeland. He stated, “We are fortunate to be the Turkish nation and to have a homeland like the Republic of Turkey. We are one and together.”
In a television program, Karanfil discussed various topics including Turkey, traffic, and Cengiz Topel Hospital. He highlighted the investments made in the country, stating that these projects have a positive impact on the public and uplift the nation. He also emphasized that these big projects send a strong message to the world.
Karanfil acknowledged the strong bond between Turkey and the TRNC and stated, “Turkey is always with us, and we walk together. We are two states, one nation. We honor our history by sticking together. TR and TRNC are one entity, and we act accordingly.”
Addressing the issue of traffic, Karanfil emphasized the importance of traffic awareness starting within families. He acknowledged the presence of infrastructure problems but stated that excessive speed and carelessness are the primary causes of accidents, highlighting the need for driver education and responsibility.
Karanfil also announced the implementation of drug control measures on the roads, stating that the first law enacted was for the control of drugs. He mentioned the efforts being made to improve Cengiz Topel Hospital and called for further investments to meet the healthcare needs of approximately 65,000 people in the region.
Finally, Karanfil discussed the potential of industrializing citrus production, suggesting that it could lead to a more sustainable and profitable income for citrus producers.
