Multiple Buildings Destroyed and Livestock Lost in Kastamonu Fire
A devastating fire broke out in a house owned by Şaban Karamehmetoğlu in the Merkez District of Değirmencik village. The cause of the fire is still unknown and it quickly spread to another adjacent house owned by the same family, as well as to various other structures on the property.
The fire grew rapidly, engulfing a warehouse, woodshed, hayloft, greenhouse, and stables. Thankfully, firefighters arrived promptly after receiving reports from nearby residents and were able to contain the blaze after facing considerable difficulty.
Unfortunately, despite their efforts, two houses, a warehouse, woodshed, hayloft, greenhouse, and two barns were left unusable in the aftermath of the fire. Tragically, four cattle lost their lives in the blaze.
The entire community is shocked and saddened by the extent of the damage caused by the fire. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire and to prevent similar accidents from occurring in the future. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Karamehmetoğlu family and all those affected by this devastating event.
