
Multiple Province Forest Fire: Ongoing Team Interventions

Several forest fires have broken out in various regions of Turkey, including Izmir, Canakkale, and Manisa.
In the Menderes district of Izmir, a fire broke out in the forest area of Oğlananası Neighborhood. The incident was noticed at 15.57, and firefighting teams were immediately directed to the region. Currently, 2 helicopters, 7 water trucks, 3 water supply vehicles, and 1 bulldozer belonging to İzmir Forestry Regional Directorate are working to extinguish the fire.
In Canakkale, a forest fire started near the Bayramiç Dam in Saraycık village around 15:00. The fire quickly spread due to the wind, prompting a large number of teams to be dispatched for intervention. Both air and land firefighting efforts are underway to control the flames.
Similarly, in the Soma district of Manisa, a forest fire broke out in the Deniş Neighborhood. Upon notification, 1 plane, 2 helicopters, 10 water trucks, 5 water supply vehicles, and 2 dozers from the Izmir Forestry Regional Directorate were sent to the area. As a precautionary measure, the Tekeli Işıklar Neighborhood, where the fire was approaching, was evacuated.
The authorities continue to work tirelessly to extinguish these fires and prevent further damage to the environment and nearby residential areas.
