Multiple Severe Weather Warnings Issued – The Impact is Intense

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued forecasts for the weather in different parts of Turkey. According to the forecast, the northeast of the country will be partly cloudy, while the western parts will be less cloudy. There will be intermittent showers and thunderstorms in several areas including Izmir, Muğla, Aydın, Antalya, Çanakkale, and the west of Balıkesir starting from noon. Rainfall is expected to be heavy in the west of Izmir and the coastal districts of Aydın starting from the night hours. Additionally, occasional haze and fog are expected in the central and eastern parts in the morning and at night.

The air temperature is expected to remain around seasonal norms throughout the country, but below seasonal norms in the Aegean coasts and Central Anatolia. The wind is expected to be generally light from the south, occasionally moderate, and strong during rain.

The Civil Defense and Disaster Department (AFAD) has also issued a warning regarding the weather forecast. The warning highlights the possibility of strong and very strong winds in several provinces and districts.

Meteorology has issued a yellow and orange warning for “Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, İzmir, Manisa, Muğla” tomorrow.
