Murder-Suicide: Man Kills Wife, Daughter, and Himself
An unfortunate and tragic incident has occurred in Eskişehir, where a person has committed suicide after shooting his wife and stepdaughter to death.
The incident took place in an apartment building located on Hıdırbey Street in Batıkent District of Tepebaşı district. According to reports, an argument erupted between Gürkan Çifçi (47) and Sibel Çifçi (45) for reasons unknown. Gürkan Çifçi, driven by the intensity of the argument, fatally shot his wife Sibel Çifçi in the 26 SC 532 car parked in the garage of the apartment building. He then proceeded to their residence on the second floor and shot his 16-year-old stepdaughter Cemre G. With the same gun. Following these horrific acts, Gürkan Çifçi turned the gun on himself, committing suicide by shooting himself in the head.
The sound of gunshots alerted nearby residents who immediately notified the authorities. Upon arrival, both the police and medical teams discovered the lifeless bodies of the Çifçi family.
The Homicide Bureau teams from the Eskişehir Police Department have initiated an investigation into this devastating incident.
